My Christmas wishlist 2012
Thank you, patient readers and those who just forgot to take me off their reading list, but I have returned! With multiple jobs, multiple degrees and everything else happening in my life, blogging really wasn’t a priority. But I do love writing and I’m still very passionate about Health and all of this, so I couldn’t stay away forever. But since I’ve been sidelined for a few weeks, I’ll have plenty of time to catch up.
You may or my not know that I’ve just come out of hospital after having Orthognathic surgery to correct my overbite. For the next few weeks I’m on a liquid and soft foods diet, and no alcohol for the next two weeks. Yes, that means over Christmas and New Year. Honestly, I’m not that bothered by it at the moment but I’ll see how I go. Still, there’s a few things that would ease everything and help the festive season along…
Urban Remedy Juice Cleanse
Urban Remedy is a healthy juice cleansing program designed to detox and renew your body and tailored to suit your lifestyle and diet. It involves replacing all solid foods for 1, 3 or 5 days with a daily series of six super nutritious juices that are delivered directly to you.
Considering that I’m healing, super nutritious juices would be excellent, and given I’m pretty much living on juices and things for the next few weeks, it seems like a good match! I’ll definitely be ordering a 5 day pack if Santa doesn’t bring one.
Organic Kitchen Caterers
My gorgeous friend, Noula, is the owner and chef at this amazing food delivery service. I’ve mentioned her before on the blog but never has there been a more appropriate time for me to order a full week’s worth of food. The first week I’m back on solid foods, I’m going to start off the right way with Noula’s amazing, nutritious, plant-based menu.

Wikipedia entry for Joy.
My signature scent for a long time was Joy by Jean Patou, which I couldn’t find for a very long time but has now come back into production. Marilyn Monroe wore it, as did Jackie Kennedy, Josephine Baker and Gloria Swanson.
It is considered to be one of the greatest fragrances created and is a landmark example of the floral genre in perfumery. It has notes of ylang ylang, jasmine, rose and tuberose. I love the scent and it’s quite versatile so it goes from day to night easily.
www.donnahay.com.auNone of my friends will be surprised by this, I am a huge Donna Hay fan and have been for about 10 years. I’ve always wanted Donna to bring out a healthier cook book and here it is! Designed to complement Donna’s existing repertoire, Fresh and Light is full of new recipes that combine the freshest ingredients, pantry staples and a few personal tricks for a lighter approach. The recipes are loaded with power foods with a focus on vegetables, grains and protein. It’s all about flavour and eating well. Super exciting and I can’t wait to start cooking from it when I can eat solid food again.

Finally, a pair of leopard print Vans, that I’ve had my eye on for ages, would be amazing. I love leopard print anything and I don’t believe it is cheap or trashy or says anything about a woman’s intentions (cough, a particular person on Twitter). But it’s a fun print and Vans are awesome, and I always need new shoes. Don’t we all?
